About

For ten years I worked as a police officer. The job demanded a lot both mentally, physically, and emotionally, and like many people in high stress professions, I began searching for better ways to manage stress and stay balanced.

During that time I discovered breathwork.

Practices like controlled circular breathing, breath retention, and techniques used to regulate the nervous system quickly became tools I relied on. They helped me stay calm under pressure, recover faster from stress, and build a stronger connection between mind and body.

Eventually I was introduced to the Wim Hof Method. That’s when I started experimenting with the cold. The combination of breathing, cold exposure, and mindset training had a profound impact on me. It wasn’t just about feeling better in the moment, it was about training my response to stress.

What started as a personal practice soon became a passion. I went on to become a Certified Wim Hof Method Instructor so I could share these tools with others. Slater Inner Strength offers breathwork training and cold exposure workshops designed to help people train their stress response and build resilience.

Today through Slater Inner Strength I guide sessions that help people train their nervous system, build resilience, and reconnect with their body. My goal is simple: to give people practical tools they can use to build resilience through voluntary discomort and conscious regulation.
